Taking your skills and experience online

As we move through life, we’re constantly picking up new skills and experience. Every difficult conversation you have with someone teaches you a bit more about human behaviour and how to perhaps deal better with a similar situation another time. Every job you do teaches you something about what you do or don’t enjoy, as well as helping you to gain experience in that field.

So, what skills and experience have you picked up over the years?

Challenge 3:

What is it that you’re able to do really well? I’d like you to write down three skills that you’re proud of.

Next, ask your partner or a friend or family member what they think your top three skills are.

Lastly, note three areas of work that you have experience in.

Circle the one that you’re most proud of, or excited by.

Now, could you use one of your skills, or an area of work you’re experienced in, and turn it into an online course?

Could it become an online workshop?

Perhaps you could do consultancy, in this field?

Start thinking around your existing skills and experience, and how you can either turn them into a digital product (course, workshop, programme) or a service that can be offered on the phone, or over Zoom/email.

And if you’re keen to launch a course, and would like more support with that, you might like to have a look at this course I run, too.
