Today I moved to my new office at The Depot. We used a spare end of our oak kitchen surfaces atop some trestles for a desk:
The Depot is a gallery, studio/desk/project space and there’s a coffee shop opening soon. Super-excited to have a (drill/saw/angle-grinder-free) creative space to work in – only five minutes from my flat in Clapton.
I wrote an article about The Depot for the Hackney Citizen last month – see here. Note the previous use: a recording studio. It’s where Pete Doherty, The Police, Dire Straits and Iron Maiden used to record. This space has helped artists to produce some serious art.
We’ll be feeding off the magic of the old tram depot… watch this space!
