Author of The Freelance Mum: A flexible career guide for better work–life balance, editor of The Early Hour and freelance journalist for national news and women’s magazines (Guardian, Forbes, Grazia, Red Magazine, Stylist, Metro, Telegraph). I also speak at live events and I’m a regular guest on BBC radio.
Having seen how many freelancers and business owners struggle with self-promotion, I launched a four-week online course teaching people how to do their own PR (and save loads of money). All my tips and tricks for securing great press coverage for you and your brand. The first course sold out in two days. I then launched ‘Becoming your own boss’. That soon sold out too. So now I run online courses for freelancers and business owners – and I love it.
Can I pay in installments?
I'm afraid not. But these courses will run throughout the year, so you could save for a future course in advance.
Are these self-paced courses?
Some of the courses are designed to start on a specific date. You'll then be able to access the course materials from that date, will be required to send homework to me by a deadline (if you'd like feedback, which is included in the course price) and you'll begin the next module the following week. So, not self-paced.
Others, you can access as soon as you've enrolled. You can then work entirely at your own pace - no deadlines - just you, the course materials and putting everything that you're learning into action as soon as it suits you to do so. There is no feedback on the self-paced courses.
How long can I access the course materials?
You'll have access to the course materials for six months. Some of the courses have downloadable PDFs - so make sure you download them before the six months is up.
